The League of Women Voters of Louisville is a nonpartisan public policy organization, it is part of the League of Women Voters of the United States and is one of six local chapters in Kentucky.
As a non-profit, nonpartisan organization, the League does not support or oppose candidates or political parties. LWV Louisville is an organization fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the organization’s current and future success in engaging all individuals, households, communities, and policy makers in creating a more perfect democracy.
Any person who subscribes to the purposes and policies of the League is welcome to become a member. We need your help to get out the vote!
Inside of Shively City Hall sat 3 candidates running for Louisville Metro Council District 3 which consisted of Keisha Dorsey, Kumar Rashad and Shaun Spencer. The winner of this race will continue the seat currently taken by now candidate for Mayor of Louisville, Shameka Parrish-Wright. Each candidate were asked questions by two moderators within the topics of needs, housing, police, discretionary funds, accountability, zoning, youth violence, gun and gang violence, Frankfort, health equity and environmental justice, on representation, data centers, communication, budgeting, trust and access to services, TARC/public transportation, working across the aisle, eviction and of course their own closing arguments.
